So therefore it was always a reasonable big deal to get it out and ready.
We now have a fantastic new inflator. Not only does it inflate the RIB, it also stops automatically
when the desired pressure has been reached.
So all that needs to be done now is:
1. Pull out the dinghy from the garage onto the platform
2. Stick the hose onto the dinghy
3. Set the pressure (e.g. 3 PSI or whatever your dinghy requires)
4. Press the start button and
5. Pronto! It’ll be inflated in no time at all.
Don't we love those “make it easy” gadgets!
What is it and what is it called?
It’s called Aquila inflatable electric boat pump and is a high speed, high pressure, duel action, automatic 12 volt pump. With a large air flow capacity of 500 litres per minute and a maximum inflation pressure of 80 kpa ( 12 psi ) the Aquila electric pump is perfectly suited for inflatable boats with air mat floors, inflatable kayaks and inflatable stand up paddle boards built of drop stitch fabric that require very high inflation pressures to obtain optimal performance.
After setting the pressure dial the pump will automatically stop once the required pressure has been reached. It has a combination of turbine and piston pumps and comes complete with a set of universal valve adaptors, a long reinforced hose, a 12 volt power lead with crocodile clips and a sturdy carry case.
